Founded in 1982, Kevin Harris, Architect, L.L.C. is a full service design firm specializing in residential renovations, residential new construction, and the adaptive reuse of older buildings. We also have a background in specialty commercial and historic preservation projects. We believe in architecture that is durable, functional, culture-based and responsive to the individual character and desire of each client.
Our goal is to provide quality architectural services and to improve the built environment for ourselves and our neighbors: one family, one building at a time.
Kevin Harris, FAIA:
Kevin Harris, FAIA, an award winning designer, is a graduate of the LSU School of Architecture and Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. A native of Baton Rouge, Harris taught at LSU's School of Architecture for 10 years before pursuing a full-time architectural practice. He has over 23 years of experience in residential design.
Harris is a contributor to the AIA Small Projects Forum Reports and House and Home Magazine. He is a technical advisor to the Southern Forest Products Association and lectures at industry conferences. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects, including Baton Rouge and Louisiana State Chapters, the Seaside Institute, Foundation for Historical Louisiana and Sunrise Rotary, and is a charter member of the Institute for Classical Architecture. In 2009 he was named a Fellow of the American Institue of Architects.
